What's up with Bill & Kelly?
What in the world have we been up to these past few months? Some of our friends have been wondering if we dropped off the face of the earth. I can only remember back to to August 2005 or so... I spent about a month in San Diego (I think Bill was out there too, can't remember). He may have stayed at home with the dog. Usually when the fall arrives there is a lot of yardwork to be done at the Prescot house so he may have stayed home. Oh yeah, Bill saw a bobcat with a sqirrel in it's mouth walking away from the bedroom patio. I think it was the ground squirrel living under the house that we've been battling to get rid of. Tracey and I went to Las Vegas in August and the highlight was the tattoos we got. We also saw the Cirque show "Mystere." I went to Vegas for four days in November with Becky (my work partner) and we spent lots of time in the day spa, saw a show, got tattoos and just had a plain old good time. I went to Vegas again with my friend Kelly in December and stayed at the Mirage, had fun gambling and we also saw The Blue Man Group (hmmm...that's my opinion of the show). Bill was jealous that I went to Vegas so much, but somebody had to watch Rosie. He did get a new gun for having to stay home.
Right around the September time-frame we were also busy planning to add an enclosed patio on our deck, as well as plan for a remodel in the Borrego Springs house. (See photos.) Our friends Carol and Jack came to visit during Thanksgiving week. The highlight was taking Bill's arsenal of guns and going shooting. Carol and Jack left on Wednesday before Thanksgiving, and then I headed to the airport to pick up Tracey. Bill took Tracey offroading and shooting, which she loves to do.
Around mid-December we headed for San Diego (while the patio was in mid-construction), and I stayed for about 5 weeks, and Bill was there for 6 weeks. Bill spent lots of time with his buddies and they camped, went offroading and shooting. Bill and his friend Randy pulled up the carpet in the Borrego house and layed hardwood flooring. I hear it turned out beautiful and I can't wait to see it (I had to leave with the dog, or she would flip out). I've posted some nice photos, but ignore the ugly furniture--it's going away. Bill also worked with some landscapers to clean up the lot. It rained so much last summer that everything was overgrown.
We spent Christmas at my parent's house and it was a nice day. My aunt and her husband were there so that was an extra treat. Bill got lots of Cabela's gift certificates, Tracey got an iPod, and I got five new Florence Ceramics.
A week or so after the New Year, Tracey moved to be closer to her work and Cal State University, San Marcos. She would have been stuck in horrible traffic if she had stayed in El Cajon. She moved into a nice little one bedroom condo.
I'm not even going to mention work...I'm drowning in it.
Well that about brings everyone up to date so far...
